2. Frequent Quick Fixes Before You Email
If your camera or microphone is not being detected, 95% of issues are resolved by browser permission settings:
- Google Chrome & Brave: Click the "view site information" icon (padlock/sliders) to the left of
acamtest.comin the URL address bar → Ensure Camera & Microphone toggles are set to Allow. - Apple Safari (macOS & iOS): Go to Safari Settings → Websites → Camera → Change permission for
acamtest.comto Allow. - Mozilla Firefox: Click the permissions icon on the left of the URL bar and clear any blocked permission exceptions.
- Physical Privacy Shutter: Verify that the sliding physical privacy shutter on your laptop or USB webcam is physically open.
